MAFB FY-2017 volunteer activity within the Volunteer Center totaled 4,849 hours by 461 individual volunteers. However, this total does not reflect countless corporate volunteer hours, nor the volunteer hours contributed by our agency’s volunteer support of our outreach programs such as; Senior Supplement; For Our Remarkable Kids, Mobile Pantry/Exercise, Nutrition and Diet; Food Pantries and Kitchens and the more than 300 Food and Fund Drives held on our behalf!

Our Volunteers are absolutely vital. Without YOU, we would not be able to reach out to so many families. Fact is; volunteerism, whether it’s through operating an agency in support of ANY of our outreach programs – or the River Region’s voluntary and generous support of our mission is what sustains us. The level of volunteerism we see from individuals, groups, and corporate entities of our overall mission on a daily basis speaks directly to our belief that we are truly in the “Heart of Alabama”.

Our Volunteer Center features 2,000 square feet of space to host even more volunteer groups and individuals, like you, who want to make a difference in our community! We can also accommodate workplace events and other groups. Volunteering is a great way to build your team, while working on a community- focused project. To volunteer, please fill out our Volunteer Application, and e-mail it to Teressa Millwood or call her at 334-263-3784.
