There are FOUR (4) Feeding America network food banks in Alabama. Each recognized Feeding America Food Bank in good-standing provides the benefits of access to the 3rd largest charity in America, to smaller, in-service area food banks, while being responsible for ensuring Feeding America standards are maintained. For example, the MAFB service area is comprised of 35 of Alabama's 67 counties.
To provide assistance throughout this expansive 24,921 square mile area, MAFB has four Partner Distribution Organizations (PDOs) in Selma, Tuscaloosa, Auburn and Dothan, Please review the list of counties below - depending on where you live, you may be served either by MAFB directly or through one of our PDOs. To receive assistance, simply reach out to the PDO within your area and they will provide you with several local agencies who can assist you directly.

The Montgomery Area Food Bank and our Partner Distribution Organizations (PDOs) reach out to the needy living in 35 counties through our network of Partner Agencies. Partner Agencies are churches and 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations that have on-site pantries or feeding programs, deliver Meals on Wheels, offer backpacks to children in need, and run halfway homes or shelters. In total, MAFB and our PDOs work with more than 800 Partner Agencies.

Summer Youth Feeding Program
Nutritious free meals are available for children and teens 18 and younger at many locations throughout the nation during the summer, while school is out of session.
