How Can I Help?

For every $25 donation to the Montgomery Area Food Bank, we can distribute up to 160 pounds of food. This would feed a family of three for two weeks or an elderly couple for a month. You can MAKE A DONATION by credit card online by clicking the link.

Even though fully half of the households that visit food pantries and soup kitchens have at least one member who is working, their wages are too low to meet all expenses. Quite often what gets left out is food.

Your donations of food make a difference in enabling our Food Bank to get more food to those in need. Your school, business, church or family could sponsor a Food Drive. You can volunteer at the Food Bank by contacting Vicky Manley at VickyManley@earthlink.net to find out about volunteer opportunities.

Your monetary contributions can be designated to support a specific Food Bank program. Our Senior Supplement Program, targets the needs of the elderly by providing food supplement boxes monthly, and our Mobile Pantry Program involves the delivery of a Food Bank truckload of products to a specified site where food is distributed directly to qualified clients.

In the 35 county area served by the Montgomery Area Food Bank, over 350,000 residents are struggling to survive. Your help is needed to take significant steps toward ending this problem. Even if your food drive provides enough food for only a few families, your efforts are vital to those who will be receiving this food. Canned food items and non-perishable items of any kind are welcomed. Paper products are also helpful because this helps provide someone in need with something they need but don’t have the money to buy.

To sponsor a Food Drive, you will need to fill out a Food Drive Information Sheet.
