Montgomery Area Food Bank
Serving the Needy in South Central Alabama

How To Help
For every $25 donation to the Montgomery Area Food Bank, we can distribute up to 200 pounds of food. This would feed a family of three for two weeks or an elderly couple for a month. CLICK HERE to make an online donation.
Even though fully half of the households that visit food pantries and soup kitchens have at least one member who is working, their wages are too low to meet all expenses. Quite often what gets left out is food.
Your donations of food make a difference in enabling our Food Bank to get more food to the needy more frequently. Your school, business, church or family could sponsor a food drive.
Your monetary contributions can be designated to support a specific Food Bank program. Our Senior Supplement Program, targets the needs of the elderly by providing food supplement boxes monthly, and our Mobile Pantry Program involves the delivery of a Food Bank truckload of products to a specified site where food is distributed directly to qualified clients.
In the 24 county area served by the Montgomery Area Food Bank, over 350,000 residents are struggling to survive. Your help is needed to take significant steps toward ending this problem. Even if your food drive provides enough food for only a few families, your efforts are vital to those who will be receiving this food. Canned food items and non-perishable items of any kind are welcomed. Paper products are also helpful because this helps provide someone in need with something they need but don’t have the money to buy.
We can provide you with boxes and barrels for your Food Drive. To view a picture of the barrels and boxes used for food drive CLICK HERE.
