Our Volunteers are absolutely vital to the MAFB- without YOU, we would not be able to reach out to so many families. Our new Volunteer Center features 2,000 square feet of essential space to host even more volunteer groups and individuals, like you, who want to make a difference in their community! We can also accomodate workplace events and other groups. It's a great way to build your team while working on a community- focused project. To volunteer, please fill out our Volunteer Application, and e-mail it to Teressa Vigneault Millwood at firstname.lastname@example.org or call her at 334-263-3784. Got a green thumb? Most of us home gardeners have plenty of extra produce on hand- we give it to our neighbors and friends to show how much we care. We encourage you to donate a portion of your fresh fruits and vegetables to the Food Bank to help us provide fresh, healthy produce to families in need. Consider planting an extra row specifically for donations, this will make a tremendous impact on the long-term nutritional well-being of those we serve.
Individuals, gardening clubs, local farms and farmer’s markets, businesses such as garden supply stores and landscapers, and others may join. For more information, please contact Gretchen Kindrick at 263-3784 or email@example.com.
Fund and Food Drives
Hosting a Fund and Food Drive is a great way to play a part in our mission to feed individuals and families in need across Alabama! Every dollar you raise or grocery item you donate goes directly to those who are struggling to put food on the table. Every day, local businesses, clubs, schools and other organizations are hosting Fund and Food Drives on our behalf. We can provide you with boxes and barrels, with ideas and guidance, and suggested items to donate. To start the process, simply fill our our Fund and Food Drive Information Sheet.
Not quite ready to host your own? You can always support a current drive by visiting our events page to learn more or simply bring your donation to our offices at 521 Trade Center St. Montgomery, AL 36108.
If you have a passion of special events or want to gain some valuable experience and love the MAFB mission of feeding those in need, please consider hosting a fundraiser! It’s a great way for you and your friends, family, and neighbors to support our mission. Groups fundraise on our behalf by organizing special events and functioning as activists for the MAFB in their communities. It’s a fun, social way to volunteer your time and talents to a truly worthy mission. For ideas and inspiration, or to register your event, download our Independent Fundraising Event information packet.
Become a Donor
MAFB relies on the support of individuals and businesses in our local communities to fulfill our mission. Without your help, we could not reach out to so many or provide quality, nutritious items such as fresh produce. Every dollar you give enables us to provide 6.5 pounds of food, meaning that every dollar you donate travels much farther with us than at the grocery store. You can help Feed Hope Across Alabama by making an investment in our mission today.
